Three months into GST 2.0, automobile, FMCG sectors expect growth momentum
Three months since the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST 2.0) reforms, both the automobile and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors have seen pent-up demand. At the same, players believe that the full impact of the GST reforms is expected to reflect in the coming months. FMCG companies said that once the transition-related trade issues stabilised, they began witnessing some uptick in demand post the GST rate cuts. However, they expect to witness a stronger rebound in sales with the positive impact of GST cuts likely to fully reflect in terms of volume in the coming months.

Toyota will finally pull the plug on the Innova Crysta diesel around March 2027, which would effectively end the era of a model that has defined the Indian MPV space for the better part of two decades. The ladder‑frame MPV with a 2.4‑litre diesel mill, currently sold only with a manual gearbox, was originally meant to exit closer to 2025, but sustained demand and semiconductor constraints on the Innova Hycross prompted Toyota to keep the Crysta in production longer than planned.

Six years on, it’s time for a new generation. So can the new car build on its predecessor’s achievements and make the cut in what is still a crowded and hotly contested space?

Let’s take a closer look.
Bikes on sale in India with an analogue rev counter
Modern motorcycles have embraced digital displays, with TFT screens and LCD panels becoming ubiquitous across segments. Yet, a handful of motorcycles continue to offer this traditional instrumentation, either as a cost-saving measure or a deliberate nod to heritage. Here are the bikes on sale in India that offer an analogue tachometer.
